AlphaScout: Plan light, weather, and locations for every shoot

AlphaScout is a photographer’s companion for scouting places and reading conditions at a glance. Whether you’re on location or planning ahead, the app combines sun and moon intelligence, weather forecasts, and a personal catalog of saved spots, so you can spend less time guessing and more time composing.

YOUR DASHBOARD AT A GLANCE
The Dashboard shows where you’re scouting (from GPS or a saved spot), coordinates, and a Shoot Score, a quick read on how favourable conditions look for photography right now, based on the weather and sun data for that place. A summary card includes rating, sky condition, golden hour timing, sunrise and sunset, cloud cover, rain, wind and temperature (metric and imperial together), and moon phase with illumination. Pull down to refresh. Short tips help you decide what to shoot next.

SUN & MOON
See sunrise, sunset, golden and blue hour windows, plus moon phase, illumination, moonrise, and moonset for the selected location. Footers include light reference facts about Earth to the Moon and Earth to the Sun distances.

WEATHER
A full-screen weather experience with animations that reflect the current condition (clear, cloudy, or rainy). View current values, today’s summary, and a six day outlook. Temperature and wind show dual units. Pull down to refresh. Pollen appears when the weather source provides it.

PLACES THAT MATTER
Use the location menu to pick Current Location or any saved spot, Dashboard, Sun & Moon, and Weather all stay in sync.

Save new spots from the map: search by address or place name, tap the map to refine the pin, add a name, visit date, optional photo from the library or camera, and notes (up to 256 characters). Open your saved list from the toolbar, tap a row to jump there, swipe to delete, or long press for a full screen preview with photo, dates, coordinates, and full notes. You can open the map from within the sheet.

DESIGNED FOR FOCUS
Dark interface, tab bar for Dashboard, Sun & Moon, and Weather, and settings for company and App Store info. An in-app guide (info icon) walks through every feature in detail.

ACCESS
AlphaScout offers a 7-day free trial and a one time lifetime unlock for full access. Restore purchases anytime after reinstalling.

Weather data is provided for planning purposes; conditions can change always use your judgment on location and safety.
