DoubleRubber is a keyboard that encrypts what you type before it ever leaves your phone. Type normally in any app, tap the lock key, and your words turn into a sealed message that only someone with your key can open.

WHY DOUBLERUBBER
Most messaging apps can read your messages on their servers. DoubleRubber encrypts the text on your device first, so what travels through any app — chat, email, notes — is already scrambled. Nothing is ever sent to us. There are no accounts and no servers.

HOW IT WORKS
- Switch to the DoubleRubber keyboard with the globe key in any app.
- Type your message and tap the lock to encrypt it in place, or just press return to encrypt and send in one step. Plain text is never sent.
- The other person, also using DoubleRubber with the same key, reads it by tapping decrypt on the keyboard, pasting into the app, or using the Share sheet.

A KEY FOR EVERY CONTACT
- Create a separate key for each person or group.
- Encrypt with your active key; incoming messages are decrypted by automatically trying all of your keys.
- Passphrases are turned into keys and then discarded, so they can never be viewed again.

SHARE A KEY IN PERSON
- Sitting together? Generate a strong random key and show it as a QR code. The other person scans it to install the exact same key. The QR is shown only once and can never be reopened.

BUILT FOR PRIVACY
- Burn after reading: each message can be opened only once, then it is gone.
- Screenshots, screen recordings, and mirroring do not capture a decrypted message on screen.
- Lock your keys behind Face ID or Touch ID.
- Everything is stored on your device in the secure Keychain. No analytics. No tracking. No data collected.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Both people need DoubleRubber and the same key, so share it in person first.
- DoubleRubber protects the text you type. It cannot control what another app does after a message is decrypted on screen.
