This application allows you to convert traditional Japanese units that are still commonly used in Japan ( Tatami (Jo), Tsubo, Go, Sho, Sun, Shaku and Ken) to metric and to the US customary (standard) units.
Area
畳 (jo, tatami) to square meters or square feet
坪 (tsubo) to square meters or square feet
Volume (fluid)
合 (go) to milliliters or the US fluid ounce
升 (sho) to liters or the US galon
Length
寸 (sun) to centimeters or inches
尺 (shaku) to centimeters or inches
間 (ken) to meters or foot
For Tatami you can choose between following types (sizes): Kyoma (京間), Chukyoma 中京間, Edoma (江戸間), Danchima (団地間) and minimum size of tatami (jo) that is defined by Japan’s Real Estate Fair Trade Council of Federation in the Fair Competition Code Concerning Labeling in Real Estate.
