Secure Eraser permanently deletes files using the U.S. Department of Defense DoD 5220.22-M standard — a military-grade 3-pass overwrite method that makes data recovery virtually impossible.

HOW IT WORKS

Your file is overwritten three times before deletion:

• Pass 1 — Overwrites with zeros (0x00) to erase all original data
• Pass 2 — Overwrites with ones (0xFF) to scrub residual traces
• Pass 3 — Overwrites with cryptographically secure random data to scramble any remaining patterns

After all three passes, the file is permanently deleted from your device.
