Choose from UDP or TCP, across six different ports, to work around firewalls and restrictive networks. Includes Obfuscation for protection against deep-packet inspection on heavily filtered networks.
• IKEv2: Uses the iOS built-in VPN client for a seamless, native experience. Server certificates are downloaded and verified automatically before every connection, with no manual configuration required.
Privacy & Security
VPNUK operates a no-logs policy. We do not monitor, record, or sell your browsing activity. All traffic is encrypted end-to-end, and your real IP address is replaced with one of our server IPs the moment you connect.
• Kill Switch: If the VPN drops unexpectedly, your internet connection is cut immediately so your real IP is never exposed
• Custom DNS: Choose from a curated list of privacy-focused DNS providers, or use the server default
• WireGuard Allowed IPs: Route all traffic, IPv4 only, or customise for home network access

This is a major release introducing WireGuard support, a rebuilt OpenVPN engine, and a new Obfuscation mode.
WireGuard (New)
The VPNUK App for iPhone and iPad now supports WireGuard®, the fastest and most modern VPN protocol available. Unlike traditional VPN protocols, your WireGuard configuration is generated fresh on every connection directly from our servers, so there are no stale keys, no manual setup, and no risk of silent handshake failures after server maintenance. Just tap Connect and you're on. Switching servers automatically fetches the correct config for each location seamlessly.
Obfuscation Mode (New)
A new Obfuscation option now appears alongside UDP and TCP in the OpenVPN protocol picker. When selected, traffic is scrambled before leaving your device, making it indistinguishable from regular HTTPS traffic to deep-packet inspection systems. The port is fixed to 443 so its. Ideal for connecting from networks that actively block or throttle VPN traffic.
OpenVPN Config Engine Rebuilt
The OpenVPN configuration is now fetched fresh from our servers and cached locally, with automatic updates whenever a new version is published. This replaces the old static config and ensures you're always connecting with the correct certificates, CA, and TLS auth key, eliminating a class of silent connection failures that could occur after server infrastructure updates.
Log & Config Tabs Improved
The Log tab now captures output from both the WireGuard and OpenVPN extensions in a single view. The Config tab shows the full rendered configuration, server, port, protocol, DNS, MTU, so you can verify exactly what will be sent to the tunnel before connecting. You can now quickly and easily send us the config or connection log for immediate troubleshooting should you have any problems connecting to your account.
