Last night David Bisbal won the Royal Albert Hall over in London with a rendition of his hit acoustic work “Una noche en el Teatro Real”, nominated just a few hours earlier for a Latin Grammy as the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The eminent London venue, which has played host to the greatest voices in the music world, welcomed David Bisbal with all the glamour of such great occasions. The Spanish artist offered historic concert befitting his celebrated career and surpassing the huge expectations aroused by this concert in the United Kingdom as well as in the international media.David Bisbal made his appearance onstage to the first chords of Flamenco guitar that accompany “Almería, tierra noble”, sparking growing applause as his voice worked through a repertoire inspired by the greatest hits from his ten years as a performer, enhanced with a selection of romantic classics by great Latin songwriters. An elegant, accomplished show that has successfully travelled half the world with over a hundred performances. His Royal Albert Hall debut offered unexpected surprises such as the duos performed by David Bisbal with guest artists of the status of Rosario Flores (Lucía), Luis Fonsi (Aquí estoy yo), Malú (Doy la vida) and Pastora Soler (Adoro), as well as backing accompaniment by the spectacular string octet led by British musician Lizzy May. The singer gave this landmark concert in his career just 24 hours after it was announced that he had been nominated for a Latin Grammy 2012 in the category of Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Una noche en el Teatro Real, and after personally announcing, at the "First International DB Fan Club Convention", the final concert dates for this spectacular acoustic tour at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and the Palacio de los Deportes in Madrid, in February 2013. Having achieved musical heaven at the Royal Albert Hall in London, in a few weeks David Bisbal will embark on his "USA and Canada Acoustic Tour", kicking off at another legendary venue Carnegie Hall in New York.
