Animega-is Lite
iOS Universel / Education
Animega-interactive sentences stimulates language and communication development in learners beginning to explore the mysteries of the written language. What do the letters represent? How can they represent words, sentences and events? NOTE, this is the Lite version with very limited content!
The language content of the program is meant to be explored by the learner with help from – and in interaction with – a teacher or parent. The language material and the appended animations do not only offer motivational literacy training but also creates moments for conversations where the learner can express his or her imagination and thoughts.
Animega-is consists of a total of 66 tasks (exercises) distributed over six levels. The rich material (> 250 words/phrases and > 6000 sentences) can be accessed through two different routes: Create and Test. In short, the learner can either generate interesting animated events by using text buttons to create sentences, or test his or her proficiency by first viewing the event, then choosing words to create the sentence that best represents what he or she has just viewed.
Animega-is is an evidenced based app. There are to date more that 20 scientific publications supporting the theory that has inspired the software development. The app rests on ideas formed within an international collaboration: Mikael Heimann (Linköping University), Mats Lundälv (Sahlgrenska University Hospital) and Tomas Tjus (University of Gothenburg), Sweden, and Keith E Nelson (Pennsylvania State University), USA.
