Simplified Management is a macOS app that equips datajar.mobi customers with advanced data analytics and management capabilities for all their macOS, iOS, iPadOS and tvOS devices.
Insights dashboard:
Using the Insights dashboard, you can use data-driven metrics to monitor your entire Apple estate, giving you a focused view of key areas such as inventory, storage utilisation, fleet visibility and more.
These include:
• Completed and pending app installations for macOS
• Inventory information on all managed devices
• Storage utilisation across your fleet
• Device encryption compliance
• Operating System versions being used
• Fleet visibility metrics
• Threat protection score and quarantine information for dataJAR Defend customers
All reported fields in the Insights dashboard are clickable, allowing you to dig deeper into the data, viewing detailed records of individual devices and administering your fleet via MDM.
MDM commands and administration:
Simplified Management gives you an advanced inventory view for individual Mac and iOS clients, enabling you to easily search for specific devices. Once found, you can issue MDM commands or apply pre-built actions for configuration changes, such as provisioning and removing admin rights, or dynamically changing device roles.
A range of MDM commands are available, that can either be applied to a specific device or to entire batches simultaneously.
The available commands include:
• Change the role of the device
• Rename a device
• Send blank push
• Update inventory
• Clear passcode
• Clear Screen Time passcode
• Enable Lost Mode
• Enable Device Lock
• Update location
• Flush failed commands
• Enable / Disable Bluetooth (edited)

Enhancements
• If available, the detailed view of a mobile device will show the device’s phone number, current carrier and ICCID.
• The computer detail view will now display the size of the storage along with the percentage of free space available.
• The mobile detail view will now display the size of the storage along with the percentage of free space available.
• The computer detail view will now display the macOS name along with the version.
• The Help menu now links to the current support knowledge base article for this app.
• We now check for bad API Keys.
• Can search for asset tag, notes and user in addition to existing search terms in both mobile and computer lists.
Bug fixes
• Fixed an issue when viewing a list of computers from the Insights screen, the model description would be clipped.
• Fixed an issue when viewing a list of movie devices from the Insights screen, the model description would be clipped.
• Fixed an issue on M1 devices that caused some elements not to display the correct colour in Dark Mode.
• Added legends to the computer and mobile charts in the Insights screen to help stop the label clipping on the left hand side.
• Dates in the detailed views and Insights screen are now localised.
• Fixed an issue where the feedback form would not display correctly.
• Fixed an issue on M1 devices that caused the Insights screen to be clipped when exiting the Lock screen.
• Fixed an issue where the refresh button would not update the assigned user of a device.
