Astral: Sky Guide
iPhone / Utilitaires
Astral turns your phone into a window onto the sky. Raise your device and a live overlay labels everything overhead in real time — stars, constellations, the Sun, Moon, and planets — so you always know what you're looking at.
POINT AND IDENTIFY
Aim your phone at any point in the sky and Astral names what's there. Tap any object for a detail card with its type, magnitude, distance, rise and set times, and a short blurb.
A CALM, PLANETARIUM-GRADE LOOK
A refined typographic system and a signature "constellation ink" line style keep the sky readable and beautiful. A true red night mode preserves your dark adaptation while you observe.
TONIGHT, HERE, NOW
The "Tonight" briefing tells you in one screen what's worth looking at from your exact spot: Moon phase and illumination, the best visible planets with their positions and set times, the darkness window, and sunrise/sunset.
FULLY OFFLINE, PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All star and constellation catalogs are bundled, so Astral works without a network connection. Your location is used to compute the sky and to label your place; there are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking.
HONEST PRICING
Astral is a one-time purchase. No subscriptions, ever.
DATA & ATTRIBUTION
Star positions, magnitudes, colors, and names come from the open HYG Database (CC BY-SA 4.0), derived from the Hipparcos, Yale Bright Star, and Gliese catalogs. Constellation figures use the IAU / Sky & Telescope line set (CC BY 4.0). Planetary and lunar positions are computed with SwiftAA. Full attributions and licenses are listed in the app.
