Take control of your language learning with Words Pro Future II — focused, effective, and entirely yours.
A more detailed description:
1. Selections: Languages and Topic
The fundamental filter within the whole app are the language combinations and the topics filters. The wordlist or the test will all rely on these selections:
Languages should be your first stop: select the languages you want to use. You’ll choose Language One (normally this should be a foreign language to you) and Language Two (should be a known language) from the predefined list. The languages are preselected to have enabled speech recognition and voice features in Apple's ecosystem. Use the Swap Languages button to toggle between them quickly (this is also accessible when tapping/clicking on the flags in the word list view - handy to sort the word list by the other language). You also have the option to set both languages to “All” to see every combination of languages/words you ever entered into the app. Be sure to adjust the languages correctly for your learning tests! - The app is able to handle all listed language combinations in parallel if you are learning multiple languages at once.
From the main menu you can define your topics. This is fully up to you: add topics per lesson, per subject, per category -- there is no limit how you organize it. You can edit their names later, and you can also delete topics (without deleting words assigned to them, you can reassign them as required).
2. Manage Words
This is where you enter and organize your vocabulary. Add new word pairs (with article and regimen if needed), assign them to topics, and create tailored lists to suit your learning goals. You have full control of the words you enter, making your vocabulary collection truly your own. Whether for travel, study, or professional purposes, this is the section where you build the foundation of your language learning.
3. Learn
The core of Words Pro Future II is the Learning Tests. Here, the app challenges you to recall word pairs from Language One to Language Two, or vice versa. You can reset your progress anytime, and the app tracks which words you’ve mastered and which need more attention. With built-in speech recognition and text-to-speech, you can test both your recall and pronunciation in an interactive way.
iCloud Sync Across Devices
All your data —languages, word pairs, and learning progress— is seamlessly saved to iCloud. This means you (via private iCloud account) can access your vocabulary and continue your tests on any iOS or iPadOS device, as well as Apple Silicon Macs. Whether you’re switching between an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, your progress is always up to date.
Voice and Keyboard Settings Are Crucial
To make the most of your learning experience, go to your device’s Settings and select the most accurate voice and keyboard for the language you’re learning. We highly recommend using a premium voice to ensure proper pronunciation, as this will significantly improve your speaking and listening skills.
