Grapla
iPhone / Forme et santé
Grapla maps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu into an interconnected knowledge graph of positions, transitions, techniques, submissions, and movements — then gives you the tools to explore it, build on it, and track your progress.
Whether you're a white belt building your first game plan or a black belt refining your system, Grapla helps you understand how the whole game fits together.
ATLAS — EXPLORE THE KNOWLEDGE GRAPH
Browse positions from both perspectives — controlling and escaping, guarding and passing. Every position includes dominance scoring, body mechanics, transitions to neighbouring positions, and available submissions. Follow the connections to see how one position leads to the next, and how dominance shifts along the way.
FLOWLAB — BUILD YOUR GAME
Create personal techniques by chaining positions, movements, and submissions into named sequences. Build them manually, or use the generator to discover paths you haven't considered — set a starting position, a target submission, or both, and let the graph find routes at your skill level.
TRAINING — LOG AND TRACK
Record sessions with the positions you drilled, techniques you practised, and submissions you hit or defended. Tag sessions by context, link your coach and training partners, and add per-event notes with role and confidence ratings. Grapla tracks your streaks, training frequency, and per-entity stats automatically — so you can see what you're sharpening and what you're neglecting.
PEOPLE AND PLACES
Add your coaches, training partners, and gyms. Track who you train with, where you train, and how often. Everyone and everywhere links back to your session history.
VAULT — YOUR PERSONAL COLLECTION
Bookmark the positions, techniques, and submissions that matter to your game. See your most-trained entities, recently drilled positions, and top attacks from your bookmarked positions — all in one place.
BUILT FOR LEARNING
Grapla is not a video library. It's a structured, searchable map of jiu-jitsu knowledge — designed to help you think about the art, not just watch it.
What Sets Grapla Apart:
- Turn-based position graph that teaches strategic flow — every transition is a single, nameable technique
- Positions mapped from both player perspectives, not just top-down
- Submissions linked to precise anatomical control points
- Hundreds of movements and principles explaining WHY techniques work
- Works completely offline — access everything at the gym, on the mat, anywhere
Perfect for:
- BJJ students at all levels, white belt to black belt
