My LapTimer
iPhone / Forme et santé
My LapTimer is primarily a native Watch app for runners doing laps or interval training. It is easy to start and stop a lap with a single tap:
• no countdown timer to start
• no swiping or double-taps to finish a lap.
The native Watch app works even when the iPhone is not present.
Elapsed time, distance (as reported by the Watch) and pace and, optionally, heart rate are displayed while running.
Lap distance, duration and pace are saved on the Watch and these can be viewed by swiping right to left.
Distance, duration and calories are also optionally stored in HealthKit and contribute to the Activity rings. Workout location and type can be selected above the HealthKit switch on the 3rd screen on the Watch: this is the app's Settings screen.
Distance and pace can be displayed in metric or imperial measurements.
Multiple consecutive laps can be timed - the Multiple Laps switch on the watch app's settings screen below the Haptic Feedback switch. These are sent to HealthKit as a single workout. The Fitness app shows the number of laps in the workout. There can be a rest time between laps: set the switch on the watch's Settings screen. Double-tap to finish a workout when there are multiple laps.
If the lap distance is known then set this on the Settings screen. It will be recorded as the distance rather than what the watch detects. This is useful when the workout is indoors.
Heart rate can be optionally shown on the first screen. There is a switch on the Settings screen.
Haptic feedback after every mile or 1000 meters can be selected.
At the bottom of the list of completed laps there is a Clear button to delete all the laps in the Watch app's database; this could be used at the start of a session.
The companion iPhone app can be used to view, modify and delete laps, as well as share any day's laps or multiple days' laps as a CSV file via email e.g. send to your coach.
Data is transferred from the Watch to the paired iPhone whenever the completed lap times screen in the Watch app is viewed by swiping right to left on the main screen and the iPhone app is nearby and active.
The app's database on the iPhone can be backed up using iTunes File Sharing.

Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
• Previous days' laps can be viewed on the iPhone again
• There is now the ability to manually enter the lap distance. This overrides the total GPS distance for each lap and the Workout distance is the sum of the laps with the manually entered distance. This is useful indoors or when the lap distance is known during interval training
• There's a new switch so that the End Lap button pauses the app between laps
• Optionally show Heart Rate (switch on the app's Settings screen). Ensure Heart Rate is enabled for this app in the iPhone's Health app
• Optionally use haptics on the Start/Stop button
• The previous lap time is shown as appropriate
• Total calories is saved per workout, ignoring those consumed during rest periods
* Total workout distance is equal to the number of laps times defined/set lap distance, if set. 'Rest' times, if any, between laps are not included in total distance
• The Start/stop button and elapsed time are larger on larger watches.
• Better layout on the first screen for all watch sizes
• The number of laps is shown in the Fitness app and lap data is shown in the Health app
• Some internal fixes
