--- The Squiddity App ---

A self-reflection tool for balanced habits. Flexible, colourful, and gently motivating.

--- Why Squiddity? ---

Ever felt a gap between what you know you could be doing and the reality?
I found there was a gulf between the actions I needed to take to improve my health and putting these into practice. For example, I knew the breath work had the power to be life changing. Yet somehow this didn’t translate into making it a part of daily life. That’s why I built Squiddity.

Most habit trackers are rigid, gamified, and adopt an all-or-nothing approach to sticking to habits. Squiddity takes a different path: a calm, flexible system designed to encourage reflection rather than results under pressure. Think of it as a speedy journaling tool that builds habits naturally.

The habit tracker that places self-reflection at the core of its offer of promoting habit change.

--- What Makes It Unique ---

Two simple questions drive it all:

How much effort are you putting in?
How much value are you getting out?

Visual or text‑based inputs — adapt it to how you think best.
Evidence‑based design — built on research into habit reflection and micro‑accomplishments leading to sustained change.

Many people try habit trackers but end up quitting::
* Rules like “never miss two days,” are too restrictive
* Habit-ification of everything creates overwhelm and reduces enjoyment
* Overly specific habit definitions feel rigid and hard to sustain

Squiddity gets around these problems. By making the focus meaningful reflection, we buy ourselves some leeway on how strict we need to be with our tracking.

--- Who It’s For ---

* Those who want to apply knowledge to consistent actions: to align their daily activities with well-being and personal meaning.
* Those who can commit to honest self-reflection.
* Anyone tired of streaks, rigid rules, or judgment‑heavy productivity apps.

Not for those who prefer strict, quantifiable goals and detailed tracking—if you need precise metrics and daily checklists, Squiddity may feel too open-ended.
Yet many who start out skeptical about its softness surprise themselves and find the reflective approach works.

--- The Benefits ---
* Reflective — science-backed approach for lasting change.
* Easy — just a few minutes a day.
* Flexible — adapt the tracker to your life, not vice versa.
* Motivating — progress you can see and feel.

--- The Story ---
Created during the long recovery from illness, Squiddity was born from a need for a habit tracker that is supportive, reflective, and realistic. It is designed for real life — messy, unpredictable, yet full of potential.
