* These games are not currently available on the smaller legacy SE devices. The limited screen real estate makes it difficult to display the large number of cards that are required to play the game.
These games were designed & developed by an ardent casino player who plays 3-4 times every week. No worries if you do not know how to play. Each game includes detailed instructions and rules as well as descriptions of the possible poker hands and the related payouts. Already a player? You're going to love being able to "sit at the table" and practice your technique.
Each game includes its own separate set of achievements for you to tackle as you are building up your bankroll and you will periodically be rewarded with bonus chips throughout the day.
You are sure to have hours of fun improving your understanding of the games!
To top it off, the developer personally reviews ALL feedback and acts upon it. If you have suggestions, submit them! Many of the current games were introduced in response to Player feedback.
Note: some games may not be available on devices with smaller screens because you would need a microscope to view your cards!
Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
This is a HUGE release for the Blackjack Players! Not only does it include a new game, Double Down Madness Blackjack, but it also includes a lot of streamlining of the code that the blackjack variants share.
More about the new game, later in these notes!
While I was testing the new game, I uncovered some "issues" with the Blackjack games. I honestly don't think these issues were critical to the game, but I felt they needed to be addressed and I felt I needed to be transparent in these release notes about the changes I've made.
When folks make comments that RBG games are rigged, I always push back and stress that all cards are randomly shuffled and dealt and that is 100% true. However, here are some things that were occurring in Blackjack that hadn't dawned on me that would present the game slightly differently than it would be in Live Play. The conditions I corrected exist because, like the rest of the games, Blackjack was introduced on top of an infrastructure that was built to generically deal cards:
1. Cards were not being dealt sequentially. The animation was distributing the initial four cards sequentially, but like all of the other games, the Dealer was receiving two cards from the virtual shoe and then the Player was receiving the next two cards from the virtual shoe. I would have to talk with someone more skilled than I in statistics to understand if that could have a significant impact on the game itself (one way or the other), but in an effort to be as realistic a simulator as possible, I felt it was important for the cards to be dealt one after the other, starting with the Player.
2. Extra Players: Most of the games in RBG allow you to decide how many hands will be dealt and which hand you will receive (e.g. "4 Players at the table and I'm in Seat 3"). The "Placeholder Players" receive whatever cards are initially dealt in any game and then their hand is automatically folded. There is no AI in RBG to play out their hand. In most cases, the only remaining actions are related to whether the Player will "see another Community Card" or Fold, anyway. Currently those games that deal two cards to the Player have the option to "Show Other Players' Cards" and that will allow you to see what was dealt to the placeholders after a hand ends. All of these settings can be found in "Preferences".
For Blackjack, there is not an option for Placeholder Players. HOWEVER, the engine that deals the cards was using the default which is "4 Players; I'm in Seat 2". This means that for each round, six cards were being "burned" because they were being dealt to three imaginary Players who did not act after the deal. This was probably a pretty significant issue and for that I apologize.
Game #69 is Double Down Madness. Of all of the games that have been requested by Players, this was by far the most requested. It is apparently a huge favorite in the Blackjack Community. In this game, the Player starts with a single card while the Dealer starts with the standard two cards. Assuming the Dealer doesn't have a Blackjack that will end the hand, it's up to the Player to act. For every card, the Player decides to "Hit", "Double" or "Stand". There are no Splits.
Yep! You read that right. You can double as many times as you want. You can Hit, then Double, then Hit again. You can Double, Double, Double or Hit, Hit, Hit. It's up to you! The House Advantage is enhanced in this game in that a Dealer Bust at 22 is a Push. However, a suited Blackjack pays 3:1 which is pretty cool. There is also an optional "Push 22" bonus that pays 11:1 in those cases where the Dealer does bust with 22. It's a fun game. I'm not sure it will lure me away from Mississippi Stud, but I am looking forward to playing it live when I get the chance!
That's all for now! Thanks for your continued support and, if you haven't already, please consider posting your review to share your thoughts about RBG with others!
