Light Lecture Recorder
macOS / Education
Light Lecture Recorder allows you to create lecture (or presentation) data from a PDF file.
During the lecture, your voice and gestures such as pointing to important parts are recorded, and the data can be replay with another app "Light Lecture".
Most importantly, the size of the lecture file created is very small compared to a video file recording the actual lecture. The contents is just a set of audio files and a PDF. For example, the size of data recording a 45-minute lecture is only 10 MB including 30-page of PDF.
You can also edit the lecture data. You can delete selected parts, and insert a new record at a specified position in units of slide switching. It's much easier than editing raw audio or video data. Teachers can efficiently record their lectures at home without strain.
The same content as lecture data can also be exported as video data, making it possible for people without Macs to view the lectures.
Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
(1) A function has been added to export a video file with the same content as the played lecture data. The size of the video file is about 2 to 3 times larger than the lecture data in the distributed format. It can be played on not only macOS, but also iOS, Windows, Android, etc. However, please note that it cannot be played with QuickTime Player, bacause it is in Motion-JPEG format.
(2) The format of lecture data in distributed format (lltx) has been changed to allow for smaller file sizes. As a result, Light Lecture version 0.6.0 or later is required to play the new lecture data.
