Light Notepad

Light Notepad is a simple, light, native notepad. It does not sync or send any data anywhere.
It promises similar experience from other OSes. It's highly inspired by "Notepad" application from Windows.
It does not support Rich Text (intentionaly), so you can focus on the content only.
Drag & drop a file and it will show the content. It won't try to embed the file as an attachment like many other notepad apps do.
You can change the colour and font size but this won't affect file content because Light Notepad intentionally does not support rich text.
Light Notepad is a native app, so it supports many built-in macOS functionalities such as dark mode, text-to-speech, find & replace, spelling & grammar etc.
It is free and does note contain any ads.

This update makes writing and editing smoother. Word Wrap is available and saved automatically, zooming and text padding are improved so your notes look better at any size, and scrollbars now auto-hide for a cleaner workspace. We also added a clear prompt when closing with unsaved changes and switched the editor to plain-text mode so automatic substitutions won't change what you type. Under the hood there’s some housekeeping and stability fixes to keep things running reliably.
