Yarnify
iOS Universel / Productivité
Most yarn project trackers count one project at a time. Yarnify counts every piece - left sleeve, right sleeve, body, hood - each with its own row count, pattern repeats, and starting offset, all tucked into one project. So when you come back to your work after a coffee break (or a three-week break), you pick up exactly where you left off.
Yarnify is built for knitters and crocheters, runs on iPhone and Apple Watch, and syncs over iCloud so your counts follow you wherever your needles (or hook) go next.
A PROJECT, BROKEN INTO PIECES
A sweater isn't one count - it's a body, two sleeves, maybe a collar. In Yarnify, you create each piece inside the project with its own type (rows or rounds), pattern repeat, and starting row. The app shows your live count and how many pattern repeats you've completed, so you can stop doing arithmetic in your head while half-watching TV.
BIG COUNTERS THAT JUST WORK
Every piece gets its own large, color-tinted counter, easy to tap one-handed while your other hand is busy. No squinting, no fiddling, no fear of losing your place.
FINISH WITH A FLOURISH
When you've woven in the last end, tap "Mark as Complete" to send your project off with a burst of confetti and a satisfying haptic high-five. Completed projects move to their own list, sorted by the day you finished them. Counters lock automatically so you can't accidentally bump a row on a project that's already done. Want to make the matching mitten? Duplicate any project in one tap - every piece definition copies over, row counts reset to zero.
AT A GLANCE, FROM ANYWHERE
New widgets bring your works-in-progress to your Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Apple Watch:
- Project Progress shows the most recently updated piece of any project, in the project's color.
- Project Icon is a quick launcher tinted to match its project.
- Yarnify Logo is a brand-colored shortcut into the app.
Tap any widget to jump straight to the right project or piece.
REMEMBER WHAT YOU USED
Which needles did you reach for? What weight was that yarn? What size are you making again? The details that are obvious while you're casting on are long gone three weeks later.
Now you can save them right alongside your counts: the needle or hook sizes you're using (add as many as the project takes), the yarn weight, the size you're making, and free-form
notes for everything else - the pattern source, a tweak you made, a reminder to block gently. Yarnify speaks both metric and US sizing and converts between them, so "4.0 mm" and
"US 6" are just two names for the same needle.
