Any Dog is a clean dog-breed reference app built for fast lookup on iPhone and iPad.
Browse 360 dog breeds alphabetically, search by breed name, group, section, or country of origin, and open a detail page for each breed.
Inside each breed entry you can quickly check:
- breed name
- FCI number
- FCI group
- section
- country of origin
- recognition status
- temperament and care basics
- official FCI page
- official standard PDF
Any Dog stays intentionally lightweight:
- no sign-in
- no account creation
- no analytics or tracking
- no ads
- no subscriptions
- no server required for core browsing
The bundled catalog is built from the MIT-licensed paiv/fci-breeds dataset, and each detail screen links back to the official FCI source material when available.

What's New in Version 1.2
Every breed now includes a Care Guide with three sections:
Grooming — brushing frequency, bathing schedule, and a plain-English note on the right tool and technique for each coat type (daily for curly and silky coats, weekly for smooth and short, with hand-stripping notes for wire coats, and a special skin-care reminder for hairless breeds).
Exercise — a daily exercise target (in minutes) derived from the breed's energy level, plus a mental stimulation note based on trainability.
Health Watch — a short list of the well-documented health concerns associated with each FCI group, drawn from published veterinary studies. Each entry is a research starting point, not a diagnosis — a disclaimer is included.
Share your favorites — a new share button appears in the Browse toolbar when you have saved breeds. Tap it to export your shortlist as plain text via the standard iOS share sheet (copy, AirDrop, Messages, Notes, and so on).
