Going on a trip to Japan? Singing Japanese music but keep stuttering on Kanji? Furigana Anywhere is an app that will provide Furigana for any Japanese phrases containing Kanji you may encounter using camera recognition!
If possible, the furigana is displayed in かな (Kana), but some texts with extra nuances in their pronunciation may be displayed in Romaji.
To pause the camera feed, simply tap anywhere on the screen and the entire app will freeze temporarily. You can read it, take a screenshot, and then to resume it, tap the screen again.
The app loads instantly (0.1sec when tested), so it can meet all of your needs instantaneously, without causing any social anxiety.
The app also ignores phrases that don't contain Kanji so your screen is less cluttered.

You must grant camera permissions to this app or it won't work. When you open the app for the first time, a prompt will appear requesting these permissions.

Fixed bug where surrounding hiragana weren't interpreted. This app now displays combo pronunciations correctly. (For example: 下さい is ください but 下 is した, 学んで is まなんで but 学 is がく). This worked in the previous version but was broken due to an incorrect English letter isolator function that was incorrectly isolating Hiragana/Katakana when they were next to certain Kanji characters. The app now works as expected. I am truly sorry if this bug impacted anyone and I will always remain transparent about the source of bugs. My aim is to improve the accuracy of this app as much as possible. If you have any issues, please report them in the support discord server! I will do my best to get back to you ASAP, likely within 0-2 days.
