The connection between mind and body is central to Yoga. The personality preferences in selecting Yoga Styles and the matching of Teaching and Learning preferences is essential to successful practice.
Students and those considering yoga can discover in 12 initial questions which Yoga Styles might suit their personality and Learning Style preferences.
Teachers can use the matching algorithm to identify likely synergies and mismatches between their own Teaching Style and students’ preferred Learning Styles.
There are separate Yoga/Learning Style and Teaching Style screens for each of 16 Personality Types, and there is a handy save function for Yoga Personality Type.
The app can be used before a class, during a retreat or at start of class – convenient if you have a lot of walk-in bookings and you want to know how best to adapt your Teaching Style to the preferred Learning Styles of that specific group. At a retreat – where there is often no WiFi – portability is essential.
Content will be updated with new Yoga Styles and approaches as Yoga continues to evolve. Therefore, the app should serve as a continual recourse to develop one’s Yoga knowledge. Yoga Students, Teachers and Coaches can come back to the app as they become more proficient; the app will assist in deepening their knowledge of other Yoga Styles which may complement their current practice and help to evolve it.

YogaPersonality offers Yoga Students a chance to identify their Jungian Personality Type, and then provides an appraisal of the Yoga Styles they may prefer… and those they may not. Potentially saving time and money.
It additionally offers Yoga Teachers and Coaches insights to how they might want to vary their Teaching Styles when teaching different personalities. Yoga Teachers and Coaches can use the app with their current and potential students to understand students’ Learning Style preferences.
Yoga has expanded rapidly and there are many styles and variations. While individual physical and health needs are or primary importance when selecting any exercise or exercise style, it is also helpful to ensure that a Yoga Style suits the personality and demeanour of those learning it.
Some Yoga Styles necessitate quite rigid, structured and detailed Teaching and Learning Styles. Other Yoga Styles support more freedom. It is helpful to evaluate a Yoga Student's preferred Learning Style upfront in order to help them select the right Yoga Style for them.
