In September 2014, Jeff Lynne’s ELO headlined BBC Radio2’s Live in Hyde Park annual festival, the first time in almost 30 years that they’d been on a festival stage. The 50, 000 fans in attendance sang along in joyous rapture with every word to a string of timeless hits including Livin’ Thing, Sweet Talkin’ Woman, Don’t Bring Me Down and Mr. Blue Sky. With the help of the BBC Concert Orchestra, Lynne answered a decades-long call from his fans with a rousing set of the beloved songs that make up one of the most celebrated catalogs of our time.
