AmpGuide
iOS Universel / Utilitaires
AmpGuide is an electrical field reference and calculator suite for electricians, apprentices, inspectors, engineers, solar installers, EV installers, and serious DIY customers.
It brings common jobsite calculations into one offline workbench so you can check numbers, compare options, and keep notes without digging through separate utilities.
Version 2.1 adds Inspection Brief for saved Jobs. The app reviews the calculations in a job pack, assigns a readiness score, flags failing results, calls out missing core checks, and suggests the next actions to document before review.
Core tools include:
- Wire size calculator with ampacity and voltage-drop checks.
- Voltage drop for copper or aluminum, single-phase or three-phase.
- Ampacity tables with ambient and conductor-count derating.
- Breaker sizing for continuous and non-continuous loads.
- Conduit fill, box fill, Ohm's Law, and three-phase helpers.
- Standard and optional method service-load calculations.
- Transformer kVA sizing and NEC 450.3(B)-style OCPD guidance.
- Wire pull tension and jam-ratio checks.
- Grounding electrode and equipment grounding conductor sizing.
- Motor FLC, lighting demand, range demand, dryer demand, and fault-current tools.
- Solar PV string, EV charger, parallel conductor, burial depth, and bid-estimate workspaces.
- Conduit bender and wire color, resistor, thermocouple, and plug-pinout references.
AmpGuide is designed for quick field decisions and reviewable planning. It is an informational reference and calculator, not a substitute for the official NEC, engineering judgment, jobsite conditions, permits, inspections, or authority-having-jurisdiction requirements. Always verify final work against currently adopted code and local requirements.
Saved calculations and job notes stay on the device. AmpGuide does not request protected device permissions.
Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
NEW: Panel Schedule — document any panel, place breakers space by space with automatic tied-space handling, and export a clean circuit directory for the panel door or an inspection packet. The Calc Hub is now searchable (try an NEC article like 250.66), with pinned Favorites and a Recent row so your go-to calculators are one tap away. Jobs gained a one-tap report export that bundles every saved calculation with the inspection brief. Plus interface refinements throughout.
